Hanging Tree

Oh how I wish I had a hanging tree
For it would end my misery
Underneath its canopy I would swing
Until the pain faded away
A tight noose I would make around my neck
So in case I cowered I couldn’t escape
Oh how I wish I had a hanging tree
One that would end this pain
Turn my gray skies to blue
Make my blues turn the other way
Oh how I wish I had a hanging tree
So I could hang myself today
